Perfumers generated authentic aromatic paradises as a result of continuous research and experimentation.

This representation of the perfumer’s attire, entirely scenographic, offers a graphic vision of this activity, which was particularly appreciated in the court environments of the early modern period. The raw materials and essences, such as orange blossom, waxes and tobacco, are shown on the one hand.  An incense burner, in the form of a hat, on the perfumer's head is evidence of the process of lucubration in the perfumer's mind.

The result is shown in the wide range of products offered: powder from Cyprus, ointments from Rome and Florence, soaps, fragrance tablets and waters, scented fans and leathers, a wide variety of articles to satisfy the most exquisite and demanding olfactory tastes.
