The Holy Face and the first cathedral
The Holy Face has marked the development of Jaén Cathedral and is still doing so today. The relic determined the architecture of the cathedral, which had to meet the needs created by such a revered cult and to have the magnitude and quality required to be the official depository of the reliquary of the Face of Christ.
